Description

Another one of those pieces I bought back in the day; 2007 to be exact, so well after the company had collapsed. I really didn't have a super attachment to any of the titles, but I thought Cheung's art on Scion was great, so when a really cool double page spread came up on Ebay for a reasonable price I jumped on it. Also I think it's interesting that I've seen other double page spreads from Crossgen titles as well as this one, but they're always on two boards taped together. This is the first time I've seen one on a special DPS board. Of course the company that required people to move to Florida and work in a studio setting would have special boards made up.

Pretty unique and Cheung was earmarked for superstardom as we can see here! He held his own against the legends that worked at Crossgen with his illustrative flair creative camera work.

I loved Jim's art on Scion and I really enjoy the storytelling from the big scene to the smaller panels. I have some Crossgen DPS art as well and also found it interesting that they are on one giant board.
