Description

Page 24 from Dark Horse Comics “Star Wars: Dark Force Rising,” adapted by Mike Baron. Penciled by Terry Dodson, inked by Kevin Nowlan, and colored with airbrush and watercolor by Pamela Rambo. The original line art was created on 10” x 15” bristol board. The final page was lettered by Ellie de Ville.

This page depicts Talon Karrde and Mara Jade considering the strategic value of the Dark Force fleet, and Mara's recurring dream of the Emperor's last command.

Nowlan inks over Dodson pencils is a great collaboration of talent. You can see Dodson laid out plenty of features that highlight what Nowlan does best, including the good girl and that haunting Emperor image.
