Description

Happy birthday to Mr. Campbell! Like many others, I was swept away by his style from Gen 13 and then continued to follow everything he did. His Spider-Man covers were iconic but I especially loved how he drew a classic appearing but modernized Gwen Stacy (if only that ongoing series hinted at in Wizard ever appeared!). So I was of course floored when I had the opportunity to pick up this cover of Gwen from his series of covers from Amazing Spider-Man 800.

Gwen is in a great relaxed pose here (love that bemused expression!) but that bridge in the background... oof.

Just a classic looking Gwen :) Great smile, and love the contrast of the fully black and wall/ground she's leaning/sitting on vs everything else. Congrats!
