Description

At the Paris Fan Festival this weekend, Mike Perkins was one of the stars on the guest list. I've always loved his work on "Captain America" with Ed Brubaker & Steve Epting (and so many others), and this was a great chance to get his signature in some of my omnibus books.

We had chatted before on Facebook - as I've set up a commission a few years ago -, but Mike was even better to talk to in real life. We had a nice, lengthy talk about his stay in Florida, return to England, his work & life in general. Then he proceeded to do some remarks in my books.

You know what going the extra mile is? Adding red marker for Skull's skin on an already red page. No corner cutting - even on these free remarks!

Great pick up, Killian! Red on red - love it! Perhaps a carry-over from his time in Florida...? A sunburned Red Skull? (no wonder he's so cranky!). How cool of Mike to do free sketches! Congrats on a beauty!
