DescriptionI am so excited to add these Danger Girl connecting covers by J Scott Campbell and Richard Friend to my collection! These are the variant covers to the second Danger Girl series, Kamikaze, which was a 2-issue series written and drawn by Tommy Yune, and Campbell and Andy Hartnell weren’t really involved other than Campbell doing these variant covers for the 2 issues. For some reason they just used the 2 connecting Yune covers here in the States but they did use these Campbell covers in France as seen in the additional images. These were also published in the Danger Girl sketchbooks in the US version, so it was published here in that. So now I have 2 Danger Girl covers by Campbell added to my Campbell collection and French variants or not, these are awesome covers!I owe this one to my buddy Ben Bressel. He attended the Comic Art Con in New Jersey, which I never get to do since I live in California. But while there he came across this in a portfolio of stuff Albert Moy brought that wasn't on his website. Ben took a pic and sent it to me and I was able to reach out to Albert and arrange to make payments on it. So once confirmed I got to selling some other art and while he gave me over 3 months to pay, I did it in 3 weeks as I was too impatient to wait on getting this bad boy in my hands. So the power of friends in this hobby is what I owe for so many of the pieces I have, including these 2 covers. Thanks Ben for the heads up and thank you Albert for working with me while I sold other stuff to get this. As usual the sales went faster than they could have and it all worked out way earlier and easier than it should have. I give it up to Art Karma, and with it all things are possible. :) In the additional images I am including a large scan of the art, a scan of the colored print, a pic of these covers as published in France, the DPS from the Danger Girl sketchbooks, and finally the actual Tommy Yune covers that were used as the covers in the US, just so you can see all of it. Congrats on getting these! I seem to remember Albert had this available for sale years ago (early on when I started collecting), so it's funny that it came back around to him years later (scarier would be if he had this piece the entire time, and somehow no one picked it up).
