DescriptionSometimes luck is on your side. When this came up at auction a number of years back, i was fully committed on another piece, so had to let this slide. Fortunately it came onto my radar again a few years later, this time i was perfectly able to take the plunge.Its a true delight to be the custodian of this memorable Ross cover. The limited colour palette is so incredibly effective as Catwoman appears from the darkness. Social/Sharing |

One of my fave villain covers from this time! Such an "essence of the character" image. The lighting effect rendered via colors is next level stuff. Wow. Big congrats, Dean!

Yes, the minimal colors are effective, but it's the lighting that really makes this piece shine. Brilliant! (And sorry for the double pun.)

How cool is it to have another chance at one that got away and win? We all have stories about those but they don't usually come around again.
I love the composition. Ross just takes the whole zipper up the front shiny black catsuit trope that we see so much, it's everywhere, urgh it's soooo overdone, I mean come on it's every hero and spy movie now, *eyeroll* ... and still manages to elevate it to the next level. Amazing.
