Description

Disney modern master and brilliant illustrator, Paolo Mottura (b. 1968) is equally at ease with any medium, from pencils to watercolors, from pastels to oil/acrylic paints, and his talent in creating fantastic and evocative images is truly remarkable.
Needless to say a recent Italian edition of Carlo Collodi famous novel fully illustrated by Paolo is a real feast for the eyes.
I'm very glad to finally add a work by him to my collection!

I imagine a little wooden boy's worst nightmare would be a gargantuan creature with a mouthful of sawblades! Fantastic painting!

An ethereal haziness to this image that just captures you. Some sublime colors and textures for sure. Wow. Congrats!

It gives off the look of a work done by an old master with how well the medium is utilized for the dream like effect. Very hypnotic with the fleeting feel of movement that the pastels bring.
