Description

I am not sure that the descriptor of 'sketch' cover really does justice to work like this, but it is rendered on a blank cover. This was one of several blank cover pieces which Artgerm brought to the Lake Como Comic Art Festival. Having obtained convention commissions in the past, I have found that often the quality of the results is higher when the artist is (1) working at home at his own pace, and (2) rendering subjects of his own choosing.

Yes, the face is beautiful. I saw his 4 colored commissions at Instagram and 3 of 4 are great too. I got a nice b&w "sketch" and will post this later. A friend picked it up at sunday.

So great that he can bring the airbrushed anime look to the linework as well by softening and sharpening different features. A knockout piece.
