Description

Original Cover by Rafael Albuquerque 11x17 pencil & ink. I was drawn to this cover piece by the unique low upward angled view of Batgirl who in my opinion is drawn perfectly. I'm hoping we'll see a similar version of this character on the big screen one day.

I like how Albuquerque uses the rough brush lines and wash on the costume to add form for the lighting to bounce. Taken for granted if it was a photo, but to draw her at this camera angle is harder to make believable while still maintaining her beauty.
