DescriptionC. Coles Phillips popularized the “Vanishing Girl” on magazine covers and illustrations in the early twentieth century. John Byrne and Bill Sienkiewicz introduced it to a new generation on comic book covers in the 1980s. Eranga puts a literally new twist on it, swiveling Jessica Drew's hips while positioning her hands and feet so well that we can easily intuit what the rest of the figure looks like. The Dutch Angle cityscape adds an extra level of energy to her plunge. It was rendered with water-based Posca paint pens.Social/Sharing |

The blended figure color and background gives this a disentangle feel. Nice pickup.
