DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!21.5x27.25" stiff paper poster mounted to heavy illustration board, likely for the 1966 campaign of Nelson A. Rockefeller for Governor and Louis J. Lefkowitz for Attorney General of New York state. Poster features illustration of Rockefeller and Lefkowitz by Captain America co-creator Joe Simon (1913-2011). At this point in his career, Simon wasn't working steadily in comics, instead producing promotional comics for the advertising agency Burstein and Newman, becoming art director of Burstein, Phillips and Newman from 1964 to 1967. Poster has notable corner tip wear at bottom and some scattered edge/corner tip wear. Fine overall, but will display nicely once framed. Social/Sharing |
