Description

A malfunctioning android named "Bill" stumbles upon a couple of smooching punks and fills them full of, um, cutlery. Roach fills the scene with amazing detail, both anatomical and background. Check out the pockmarked walls, the multiple security cameras, the Max Headroom-style dystopian ruin, the belt compressing the man's thigh. Small wonder that American comic book companies were looking to Europe for cues. David Roach's toned ink differs from the black and white stippling I usually see from him, as seen on another 2000 AD page in this gallery. The word balloons are on an acetate overlay taped at the top. The paper page has some irregular bowing, perhaps from humid storage at some point.

Roach's painterly style uses nice tones and wash to flesh out a level of sophistication in this murderbot slasher b&w film on a page. Just like in the slasher film genre, any punbkl kids caught being impure will suffer and see their demise through cleverly hilarious and off the wall methods. The only thing missing is the one liner, "If you live to pork, you must die by the fork."
