Description

Way back in the mid 1990s I bought my first issue of Heavy Metal because it had a cool Luis Royo cover. After years of reading mainstream, American comics, eighteen year old me was not prepared for European comics. Alas I'll probably never own the March 1994 painting. Shortly after this I went to back the comic store and bought a bunch more issues once again based on the covers. One of them was the Heavy Metal Overdrive special. Fast forward to January 2023 and I'm looking to see if anyone has any of my favorite HM covers for sale and I come across this! At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to pull the trigger, so I told myself that if it was still available when the spring Comic Art Live comes around I'd buy it. And now here we are.
