Description

If you haven't read Ultimate Spidey, you need to. The incredible run (111 consecutive issues?) that Bendis & Bagley had on it is beyond impressive. Was it perfect? No way, but the consistency of the artist and writer is something special.

Unfortunately, all the USM Bagley covers (that I've seen) are pencils and were airbrushed(?)/colored and look somewhat horrible how they were published. (Outside of a few that were, even worse, inked after publication). I've had trouble capturing an accurate look of how pencils look in hand. Scans, pics, etc don't do them justice. This is an iPhone scan, if anyone has better ideas let me know.

Another?! Alright! I can dig it, man. Another great pose. And yeah...lighter pencils are TOUGH to a nice image of. This is working, though! Very purty.

Awesome pencils for Ultimate Spider-Man from the great Mark Bagley! I'm with you lamenting the fact that the USM covers are only pencils! They just scream out for a great inker to make them come to life. Going straight from pencils to digital paints is somewhat disappointing, IMHO. That said, Bagley's pencils are really pleasing to the eye! Mark truly understands how to draw the wall crawler and his pencils are a wonder to admire! Congrats on a great pick-up!
