Description

Mindworm causes May Mayday Parker to believe that she married the Black Tarantula. She is informed that the Black Tarantula has been killed, his powers have been transferred to her, and she must avenge his death. For a time in the comic May can’t figure out if this illusion is real or not.

This page depicts her waking up as the Black Tarantula for the first time

May’s arms are huge when she is the Black Tarantula. She should be answering “Which way to the gun show?” the entire issue when she believes she is the character.

I believe this is the first time that a female Black Tarantula appears in comics.
