JLA/Avengers Disassembled: In Color. Some history here. The obvious idea was the two teams fighting Ultron and Amazo. But I'd had one drawn by Greg a year or so earlier. So then we talked about possibly making them Ultron Amazo's or Amazing Ultrons? Which is still a very cool concept. But Oliver and I had both recently watched the movie "I, Robot" with Will Smith and had been emailing each other about how much we liked it. So the idea of Brainiac being behind an aliance of Amazo and an army of Ultrons was too good to pass up. Anyone notice that I like commissions with a lot going on? It's like a whole story going on in a few of these.
This is one of my all-time favorite commissions. The JLA and Avengers under siege by a horde of Ultron Robots. Who better to be embattled than the angel Zauriel, the Scarlet Witch, Captain Britain, the Green Lantern-Hal Jordan, Captain America, Firestorm, the female robot and former bride of Ultron Jocasta, the Black Knight and the Batman. With Amazo to the west wielding a makeshift Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor, the Green Lantern ring of Parallax and Wonder Woman's lasso battling the Android/Elemental Red Tornado and the armored Avenger Iron Man. Then Brianiac and a fleet of Skull ships coming in from east but being opposed by the synthazoid Avenger-the Vision and the last son of Krypton-Superman. Man it's crazy. Almost want to expand it with commissions on both sides. Oliver where are you?
