DescriptionFantastic page (page 21 of the first part, page 21 of 66) by the great Italian Disney master Romano Scarpa, for his classic „La Leggenda di Paperino Hood”. This is one of the most famous stories by the great Scarpa and one of my favorite pages with all the Ducks and that great large panel showcasing the Beagle Boys…First published in 1960 in the Italian Topolino 228/229, the story has been printed over 35 times in at least 11 countries, in Germany it first appeared in the Lustige Taschenbuch No. 74 (1981). This was one of my favorite Disney stories when I was a kid... Social/Sharing |

A nice twist with the renaissance faire Robin Hood costuming. The Beagle Boys rob from the rich and give to themselves. they don't even bother to dress up. The shock on their face in panel two lets you know that this is getting serious!
