Great commission! Congrats!!
Funny thing is: it wasn't a commission. It was ALMOST a commission. When Brian's list opened, I was stuck between Marv and Kid Miracleman. I went with KM and decided I'd go with Marv next time. Then Brian did an Inky Knuckles stream and his subject was Marv! I knew it was meant to be so I reached out to Cora at IK the next day and requested it. He was just finishing up my commission so the timing was perfect.

I watched that IK stream! Brian is doing a Lobster Johnson and GA Sandman for me now.

Those are great choices. I'll be very interested in seeing what he cooks up for Wesley Dodds.

The rain at an angle and the white outline for it is gloriously Miller! Level is very talented to be so versitile!

Fabulous commission by Brian Level! Love this portrayal of Marv. Brian Level really captures the pain that Marv was feeling in Sin City, the pain that drove him to the actions he took in that seminal crime drama. Love Marv's hands tightening in his pain. Love the effect of the rain on Marv's back, the splatters as it hits his raincoat and drips off, almost like the tears he can't shed for Goldie's murder. Brian really knocked this one out of the park!

Excellent commission choice! Grit is the word that comes to mind and Brian has captured it here perfectly as the rain pours down. Love the character pose as well!

I hope all those bandaids are waterproof (and ink wash proof). Beautiful piece Grant!
