Description

Our space-pirate heroes face the web of a blockade. In good Kirby fashion, Isherwood offered a full splash on page 1 and a double page spread on pages 2-3. These two pages were taped together originally, but somehow page 3 entered the collector market without its partner. I started gathering SotS pages including page 3, and I was delighted to find out that Geof Isherwood still had page 2, so now they are back together where they belong.

Isherwood always does a great job with the close-up reaction shots. Check out the light reflected in Captain Raader's eyes in the last panel. The holes in the sails match the ones on the previous page, but reversed since we're seeing the ship from the back now.
