Description

It's a space pirate series, but on this page, Captain Raader's mom convinces the crew that there's more profit in mercenary work, protecting settlements from "Colonizers," the imperial bad guys. This solves the perennial problem of swashbuckler stories: Historical pirates were murderous, thieving villains.

The montage atop page 15 imagines the honest life that Raader's crew could have. One word balloon in the middle of the page has a double border for emphasis, an unusual technique.
