DescriptionIn my youth, I didn't miss the Lone Ranger TV show in reruns. Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels were the greatest, and I even named a couple horses at my grandmother's farm Silver and Scout (unfortunate sidenote: Silver kicked my uncle in the head, but that's a story for another day).But did I know that I wanted/needed a Lone Ranger example in my collection? Hadn't really thought about it until I saw Benno's great Sunday strip in person -- so decided I'd pick one up if something spoke to me. These consecutive dailies from 1958 checked a lot of boxes: name-checks on Lone Ranger, Tonto, Silver and Scout! Some gunplay by the Ranger! A posse chase! Gittum up Scout, indeed. Social/Sharing |

Great sequence! Stacked together, they resemble a Sunday piece with a full story being told. Awesome era for the cowboys and western era that sparked imagination and fascination for generations.
