Description

This might have been one of the very first pages that I bought from the Romitaman website and probably my second original art page of Wolverine ever. Either I got really lucky that this was still there or there was something really wrong with it. Or maybe people just didn't like Wolverine with his bone claws coming out of the wrists, which you don't see very often. But I just really dig the horror vibe of this page. Kitty looking shocked that Gambit just got stabbed by a crazy clone Wolverine. Good stuff. This is an inks only page.

I didn't know Gambit wore sunglasses. It looks like a different mutant guy who wears glasses all the time who Wolverine has slashed up. Grell's composition is tried and true and the Nelson inking is very slick with lots of fills to deepen the expressiveness.

That is probably a more accurate depiction of what bone claws could look like than anything before. It also makes Wolvie look especially feral!
