Description

As much as I like the finished covers that Jeff Dekal creates I do prefer the initial black and white, mix media traditional art over the digitally completed covers. His traditional work highlights not only his incredible precision in his line work but also his economy of line. He does not over render, opting to use strategically placed shapes to mold the form and shadow. This is the first piece that I have been able to pick up from Jeff and certainly hope I can add more in the future.

Has a nice 70's movie poster look of a crime thriller where it uses a minimal flat color palette to make the black and white detailed elements stand out!

This is great! I think it's cool that catwoman's shadow is of an actual cat.
