Vartàn is a comic series in the erotic genre with a western setting, conceived and scripted by Furio Viano and drawn by Sandro Angiolini, published in Italy from 1969 to 1977 by Furio Viano Editore.

It looks the standard two panel Alan Ford style of storytelling until I saw how buxom the ladies were in the bottom panel! I should have known anything goes after that.

Very cool page with the main characters giving their names. Angiolini had a really unique style!

exactly the same thing I thought when I discovered this seemingly anonymous little originalart like so many others. Angiolini for me is one of the most underrated cartoonists ever in the Italian historical scene, probably due to a large amount of boards drawn and still available and to his fast and essential but not less elegant stroke than many others, indeed simplicity is a rare and precious virtue.
