Thunderbird by David Cutler

Got a place on David's commission list last year.

Thunderbird's been resurrected (again). If you haven't read X-Men lately, in the current era, there are 5 mutants that, together, can resurrect other mutants. These 5 along with a memory backup system created by Forge with memories copied via a telepath/cerebro can bring back to life deceased mutants. The 5 bring back the body and a telepath (usually Prof.X) restores the mind. In the story 'Trial of Magneto', the Scarlet Witch was resurrected and in the process she altered the resurrection protocols to not need the backup, I guess? Now any mutant can get resurrected. The first to benefit from this was John Proudstar.

So, Thunderbird is back! ...for now. I do hope they let him stick around and this outfit redesign grew on me. The ponytail could be lopped off and I wouldn't complain.

As a fellow T-bird fan I'm also hoping we see him stick around for a bit! This look - wasn't sure when I saw it but I think it's cool that they went with a real departure. And Cutler provides a great example here! Congrats!
