This cover was for Robin Snyder's article on Robert Kanigher, �The Golden Age Gladiator: Robert Kanigher.� The art hints at Kanigher's mercurial nature. Of course it also shows his key DC characters as well as the artists, appropriately in G.I. combat dress, who worked with him on DC's war stories. Roll call - John Severin, Irv Novick, Joe Kubert, Ross Andru, Jerry Grandenetti, and Russ Heath. At ease. Smoke'em if you got'em.

Great tribute as these types of images are often the artists doing their self portrait over their drawing table with characters all around. This one for a writer Kanigher is backed up by a stable of artists that drew his stories while he played with the action figures through his writing!
