DescriptionReturn of Wolverine # 1 page 16 artSteve McNiven pencils Jay Leisten inks Marvel Comics - September 2018 I'm a big fan of McNiven's art and love when he draws Wolverine. I've been lucky enough to pick up some of his work from Old Man Logan, and Death Of Wolverine over the past 14 years but I've been missing a piece from the Return of Wolverine series. I was thrilled to see this pop up at auction especially since it features a battle-worn Logan on a motorcycle in every panel. It was also great to see how McNiven channeled some BWS vibes for this series. Due to deadlines some of the pages from this series were penciled and inked traditionally and some of these pages were pencilled digitally (with printed bluelines) with traditional inks. I'm excited that this page has McNiven's pencils and Leisten's ink on the same board. Social/Sharing |

BWS influence but still McNIven! Every panel's got something to see, man. Hard to top biker Logan :) Congrats!

They definitely set out to do a BWS MCP era Wolverine in this story ahead of time. Hard to keep that style with all that intensity.
