Description

Although Brian Bolland is best known for his work on Wonder Woman and Animal Man, he was first hired by DC to work on Green Lantern. This is the second cover that he did for that title (the first was #127) and is cover dated July, 1980. This one has it all... a full-figure rendition of Green Lantern flying and using his ring, there is a classic GL villain, Sonar, that he is fighting, and even Carol Ferris and Ferris Aircraft are thrown in for good measure.

The cover looks so complete and futuristic with the sharp and crisp Bolland art! He brought over the work discipline and the visual excitement from his 2000AD work to make DC characters look as they've never looked before.
