DescriptionSam told me that he sent many of his Battle Albums to fans who wrote to him while he was illustrating the Haunted Tank. This Battle Album is one of two that he had framed in his studio. It was one of the earliest (G.I. Combat #151, Dec. 1971/Jan. 1972) and remained a favourite of his. Sam sold it to me during my first visit to his house, but I returned it when he told me he missed looking at it. Thanks to Steve Skro, I have it again three decades later.Social/Sharing |

Beautifully illustrated. These deadly war machines caused much death and destruction and here they are shown with respect and fear. They were the new face of modern warfare.
