Description

In 1987 (I was 14) I was treated to New Mutants Annual #3 which featured an all out brawl across the world spotlighting Warlock fighting The Impossible Man as they morphed from character to character. In one issue we got to see fights that included the Hulk, the Thing, Captain America, Captain Britain, Nick Fury, Spider-Woman, Baron Strucker, Viper, the Green Goblin, Spider-Man, Thanos, Captain Marvel, the Watcher, Galactus, Godzilla, Rocky and even Clubber Lang. The New Mutants put on their new(ish) X-Men costumes and try to contain the havoc throughout the pages.

Annuals used to be so much damn fun.

Alan Davis drew some great Mutant annuals in the late 1980s. I'm not familiar with this one and will need to look it up. This is a fun page with a great middle panel with the "Hulk" and "Thing". Congrats Steve!

This issue was a highlight of the series, the gorgeous Alan Davis art, the wonderfully silly storyline.. those were the days!
