DescriptionMy Thanos GRAIL! This is the Epitome of The Mad Titan. Created by Jim Starlin and, here, masterfully rendered in all his Alien Glory by Jim Calafiore.The Power and Perspective, the Detail and Sheer Insanity of Thanos’ face, him gripping his chair to have it splinter under his Titans grasp while holding a Black Rose in his other, a seeming portal emerging. All with the backdrop of a Starlin inspired space scene. Best Thanos Piece Ever!!! Huge thx to Larry for working with me to acquire it and Rene who was kind enough to generate the necessary finances I always like to ask the Artist for their take. Mr. Calafiore was kind enough to respond with this: Thanks for sending the image. One of my favorite pin-ups that I did. It was a while ago, and I barely remember the issue. The writer asked for a killer shot of Thanos, and did my best. Don't think there was much direction other than seated on his throne and holding a rose. Weird thing is, I might've done the page first for some odd reason; I think they wanted it right away for solicits. Congrats on the acquisition. How to make the missus angry? First, keep her from being able to do her job and second, wreck the furniture. Oh Thanos. Just have a poker night with the Black Order and call it a night. Mad titans, I tell ya. Can't be helped.

He's mad with love! Jealousy over a woman brings about wars and Thanos declares his Thanos Quest against Deadpool! Even the planets and space shatter at his words!

Classic Thanos image by the great Jim Califiore and Walden Wong. Love the way Thanos' tight grip is literally crushing the arm of his own throne as he gazes at the black rose in his hand. The detail on this splash is mindboggling! Congrats on a great pick-up!
