DescriptionCLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!10x14.5" thick artboard has mixed media original art by prolific and renowned Spanish comics cover artist Rafael López Espí. Cover is for Selecciones Marvel Presenta: Doctor Exstraño Vol. 1 #56, which reprints a Dr. Strange story from issue #7 storyline "Demon Fever". Published in Spain c. 1980 Mundi. Artboard has been hand-painted from edge to edge w/art showing a original composition that was based on art from the US issue cover #7 by Gil Kane. Menacing scene of Demons approaching Dr. Strange and Clea. Lt. aging/handling wear. Art remains bright and clean. Displays VF. A wonderful example from the era when Espí's art dominated covers of Spanish comic books, featuring one of Marvel's popular characters and is unsigned by artist. Superb and dynamic cover art.
