Description

This was sent to me by mail in January 1997, after a nice encounter with the artist Jean-Claude M�zi�res in November 1996 at the Salon du Livre de Montr�al. Being a fan of his Val�rian albums (scripted by Pierre Christin), I had a t-shirt made with a drawing previously used as a poster. While in line for another artist, M�zi�res spotted me, and we engaged in a discussion when I finally met him a bit later. He liked the t-shirt a lot, so I gave it to him on the spot [luckily, I had another one under]! He used it for playing tennis, he told me when I met him again in Spring 1997.
But the best part is that the reverse showed a piece of original art taken from the next album [L'orphelin des astres], which was still unpublished at the time! It was a failed one, so he simply reused the back of it for this commission.
