Happy Godzilla day! On November 3, 1954 “Godzilla” opened in theaters, and my favorite Kaiju monster was born! So glad that till this day there is still a lot of love for the genre and Godzilla continues to live strong with fun comics like Godzilla: War for Humanity by Andrew MacLean and Jake Smith! So when this variant cover by Nick Pitarra came up I just had to pick it up and could not be more happy with it.

The perfect artist for the subject matter with Pitarra working everything up larger in scale these days! The comic is a surpise hit with the quirky offbeat cartoony art to offset the violent bloody throwdowns. Pitarra's monster design style brings every spiky tooth, nodule and pit in the hide, tentacle, and weirdness into focus
