Description

Purchased this piece directly from Daniel, while at a convention in Asheville earlier this year. I've seen his work once before when he was in Columbia, and became an instant fan. The level of detail in his work reminds me of Philip Tan. Two fantastic artists.
The process for this piece begins with a polished sheet of copper. Cleaning it completely to remove any impurities on the surface. It is then coated with an etching ground. Daniel begins to draw on the etching ground with a metal tool and then soaks it in an acid bath for a specified time. The plate is heated and then ink is applied. The surface is cleaned of ink, but the ink will remain in the grooves. After the "prints" are made , the plate is destroyed. This is print 2 of 50.
