DescriptionWhen Marvel announced their next generation of superstar artists earlier this year, they asked each "Stormbreaker" to come up with a variant cover.This is Nic Klein's response, an obvious homage to Kirby's famous Avengers #4 cover reintroducing Captain America. The original members of the Guardians of the Galaxy are shown here: Captain Charlie-27, a soldier from Jupiter; Major Vance Astro (later known as Major Victory), a time-traveling astronaut from Earth; Martinex T'Naga, a crystalline being from Pluto; and Yondu Udonta, a blue-skinned being from Centauri-IV (and famously featured in the MCU films). Done in Nic's signature, detailed ink-wash style, I love the homage with a new twist and the detailed background of stars and asteroids. Social/Sharing |
