Description

Horror icon Bernie Wrightson created this opening title splash page for "Gargoyle Every Night", featuring Wrightson himself as a horror host for the story. Centering on the elderly gargoyle carver, Emil Vogel, this splash features the artist cornered by his evil creations. The fleshy gargoyles lurk in the shadows, rendered in Wrightson's signature cross-hatching style, heavily evoking of Swamp Thing, Wrightson's co-creation debuting the following year.
