Description

Memento, the prompt word for Batober 15, 2023, inspired Chris to create this stunning depiction of the complicated relationship between Carimine "The Roman" Falcone and Catwoman who went from giving him his facial scar toward the end of Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli's "Batman: Year One" to learning that she was his daughter at the end of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's "Catwoman: When In Rome."

Jeph thanked Chris for this piece in the comment section on Instagram and I've included a screen grab of it and Chris's reply as an additional image.

Samnee's final Batober and he's said as much as he can on the Batman lore over the years paying homage to the character, the storylines, and the creators each step of the way. This is an exceptional inspired tribute to the Long Halloween adopting the Tim Sale look of the book to his own mastery of the black and white contrasts.
