Description

Very early strip of Bloom County featuring Milo Bloom and his granddad, Major Bloom. This was published about 2 months after the beginning of the comic strip. Milo continued as a core character in this endearing strip that won Berke Breathed a Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1987.

Bloom County is an American comic strip by Berkeley Breathed which originally ran from December 8, 1980, until August 6, 1989. It examined events in politics and culture through the viewpoint of a fanciful small town in Middle America, where children often have adult personalities and vocabularies and where animals can talk.

Very nice example with Beathed using the duo tone board for that effect on the blanket. Breathed shows Major Bloom's plotical leanings with a single line.
