Description

Amy Reeder and Richard Friend brought a terrific aesthetic to their work together on the Matt Wagner Madame Xanadu stories. Reedwer has a great eye for forcing camera angles to create a sense of action and tension. She also decked out Xanadu in a style that worked for the time period of the story and that could also easily evolve into her style from the stories from the late 70s.

This is the second Xanadu piece I have from them. I'm also lucky to have a piece from Amy's Rocket Girl book.

Bought this piece from ctdwmdc on eBay in the fall of 2023. A great seller.

Really nice splash image! The up camera angle over the kid's shoulder makes Madame Xanadu look more dramatic.
