Description

Ryan Stegman did variant covers for each issue in this miniseries. Unfortunately, Marvel in its infinite wisdom cancelled the miniseries. Fortunately, the covers were published to solicit preorders. So, we have them to kind of guess what could have happened in each issue. I�d love to know why Marvel killed it.

This piece is JP Mayer�s inks over Ryan Stegman blue lines.

I'm pretty sure this is the issue where Frank and Microchip took the weekend off to go fishing. Microchip fell in the water and lost his rubber boot which floated downstream. Frank tracked it down. Barracuda was feeding his gators, seen Frank and invited them in for a big meal of stew. I can sort of see why this got canceled.

It's a great setting by Stegman that's richly defined by Mayers inks within the bayou with the sun penetrating to shine through. Punisher could have finished the job right there with a long range sniper rifle without taking another step.
