DescriptionThis is definitely the most random purchase I’ve made in 25 years of collecting.Sure, I read Gen13 as a teenager. But, I took a long break after Campbell moved on and only came back when Adam Warren took over as writer. So, I missed the entirety of the issues with Gary Frank on art duties. Yet, as I was flipping through Spencer Beck’s bins at this year’s Terrificon, I found this page and it made me laugh. I have no idea who these hapless rednecks are, but those last two panels of Gary Frank goodness were well worth the $40 I shelled out to take it home. Plus, in this day and age of skyrocketing prices, it’s nice to be reminded that great examples from this medium we love can be found at all ranges of the price spectrum. Social/Sharing |
