Description

Superb Joe Pineapples - "A.B.C. Warriors" page - published 2023 in “2000AD” comic magazine #2312, then in the 2024 publ. "Joe Pineapples: Tinman" graphic novel/collected edition as page 5. Art by Simon from the great SF series in the British “2000AD” magazines that first appeared in “Program” (issue) #119 in 1979 and is still written by the magazine’s founder Pat Mills (who also created many great characters like Judge Dredd and Slaine) featuring only robots as main characters.
This 2023 A.B.C. Warriors storyline marked Bisley’s return to the A.B.C.’s where he started his comic career 1988's with the classic “Black Hole” storyline. He painted the first 12 pages and 2 covers for this story, then Clint Langley finished it (in pencils and inks).
The cool robotic sniper Joe Pineapples leaves an asteroid together with his former colleague Ro-Jaws. Both were former members of the A.B.C. Warriors - a team of war robots sent to first conquer and then protect Mars.
