Description

The cover to Superboy 98 always made me wonder. If Superboy and Ultra Boy were using their X-Ray vision to see what each other was wearing under their street clothes, were they also checking out everybody else in Smallville? Now that the Comics Code is a thing of the past, we can finally see what the cover should have always looked like!

Many thanks to Kerry Callen for doing a such a wonderful job with my slightly dirty idea. He made sure to emphasize that all the characters involved are over 18. And he also sent along a couple of digitally colored options, for whichever mood Lana was in that day!

I'm reminded of the Silver Age reprint of "The Boy With The X-Ray Eyes" Suoergirl story, where the part of the cover representing the story shows the aforementioned boy using his power to watch Supergirl as she changes into her costume.

All these years later I still remember hiw much a friend and I laughed at that. I inagine we drew some stares at the comic com, we were laughing so hard.
