Description

This was on Heritage a year ago and I missed it, a very cool Mardi Gras page so I was happy to get a second chance at it in Comic Connect.

Comic Connect auction description:
Brent Anderson pencils and inks; page 8; 1995; image size 9.5" x 14.25"

Bloodshot takes in Mardi Gras in New Orleans, during a rare bit of downtime for our ex-hitman hero. Pen and ink. Art is in excellent condition, there is one text paste-up missing from panel four. Signed and inscribed by Anderson.

Heritage auction from last year description:
Brent Anderson Bloodshot #36 Story Page 8 Original Art (Valiant, 1995). After blowing up a drug dealing ring on the bayou, Bloodshot takes in the sights and sounds of the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. Knowing the former mafia hitman as well as we do, it won't be long until our hero finds some action! Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.5" x 14". Discolored text paste-ups and residue staining, minor handling wear, and a signature from Anderson with the inscription "To Steve - Take a shot!". Missing text paste-up from the final panel reads "Time for one last party" in the printed issue. A photocopy of the artwork without paste-ups is stapled to the page. Overall in Very Good condition.

The storytelling is well suited to the Anderson art! There's a lot of realism and he was able to take his time on this!
