Central Martial Arts Double-Spread Fight! Pages 18n and 19 from issue #3. Art by Aldrin Aw aka Buzz. Issue #1 was published by Crusade comics and was a Crossover with Shi. Not sure yet if issue #3 was published, but these Korean swordsman thriller pages are very special and rare items for any Martial Art Comic Art fan.

Horseman is a martial art comic from the nineties, which makes it all the more interesting as martial arts comics were especially popular in the 70s. It was also endorsed by the World Hwa Rang Do Association, and endorsements are rare in comics - go check their website to discover the legacy of the Hwarang (the ��Flowering Knight��) Martial Art.

Issue #1 was a Crossover with Shi (see additional pictures). Jung is the Hero - the mighty Horseman.

From Comic Vine: ��Aldrin Aw, aka Buzz was born and raised in Rangoon, Burma. He grew up reading his father's comics from his childhood. After moving to the United States at the age of 13, Buzz began his career as a penciler at the age of 15 at Blackthorne Publications. Later, working with Neal Adams' Continuity Studios at the age of 17. After gaining some good experience and mentoring, he took some pages to DC and received assignments working on Justice League Quarterly and Justice League International.
Since that initial foray into comics, Buzz's style has graced the pages of titles including JSA, Vampirella, Shi, X-Factor, Impulse, Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, and many others. He is currently working on titles such as acclaimed Atomika series. Buzz's rendition of Spiderman was featured in a special artist portfolio that appeared in Spiderman 2 deluxe DVD. He is a very popular and sought after commission artist among art collectors and the comic book convention circuit. Buzz is also a multi EMMY award winning commercial artist who has worked with CBS, FOX, the Los Angeles Lakers and The United States Marine Corp.��.

Horseman Story and background: When Jung was a child in the city of Chul Ju, Korea in 1565, his family was killed along with the rest of the village by Japanese forces on their way into China. Jung was rescued by an immortal warrior who took him to the legendary Bul Kuk Sa temple where he grew up learning the Hwa Rang Do martial arts, and became a Hwa Rang Knight. When Jung reached the point where the Hwa rang Knights couldn't teach him anymore, he went on a pilgrimage searching for knowledge, which would make him a god. On his journey he rescued the son of the emperor, who in return made Jung a Horseman. The seal he would carry as a Horseman would give him 20 warriors for protection if he should need it. This happened in 1587. Jung then went to Japan. In 1592 he was on a mission to assasinate the Shogun. The mission failed and Yung-Un, the woman he loved, was killed.  In 1996 the seal was stolen by a man called Tommy-Q who wanted the secret of immortality. Fighting his way thru Tommy-Q's warriors Jung got his seal back.  Skills & abilities: Jung is a master of the martial arts called Hwa Rang Do. He also masters some mental disciplines giving him enhanced healing, levitation and control over his body's aging process. This is supposedly also a part of the Hwa Rang Do training.
