Description

Cobra Commander's battle armor may not be his most popular look but it's very distinctive and screams 1987, to me! It actually played a pretty big part in the GI Joe comic books, as it allowed a Crimson Guardsman to take over the role of Cobra Commander, for a while.

Anyway, I'm glad I've finally gotten a commission from Kevin Sharpe! He was friendly and quick to share updates and he rocked this piece, every way he could! The armor has kind of an odd design but Kevin didn't hesitate to make it look powerful and impressive! His lines are so crisp and his inks are insane! If you could see this explosive background in person, you'd understand! This is a piece I feel lucky to own!

I like it! It was kind of the next evolution of the character and the toy line! At some point Cobra Commander needed to bring his own heat against those who challenged his position. The backgrounds here are done to mimic the explosive toy line packaging!
