Recognized as one of Cassaday's career highlights along with Joss Whedon's writing coming off Buffy, Astonishing X-Men was one of the most exciting relaunches from Marvel during this era of rebirth for the new millenium. You can tell there were aspects of Buffy in how Kitty was portrayed in this series.
