Description

I always loved when an X-Men issue would open with them playing some sport. It would usually breakdown because someone uses powers to cheat and a brawl (usually with Wolverine) would ensue. So that’s what I approached Tyrell with when he opened up his commission list. Needed bigs so I went with Colossus and Thunderbird. It’s cannon that Gambit is amazing at basketball so he’s in there, which informs that Rogue should be in, too. I also wanted Nightcrawler using powers for an oop at it pissing off Wolverine. Tyrell took that and proceeded to kill it on another commission. Anytime he opens up his list, I recommend that everyone try to hop on if they’re able to.

Nice danger room fun by Cannon! The grids give us the perspective horizon fairly easily to lead the eye around the action. I think Gambit wants to play iso defense on Rogue, but Wolvie is at a height disadvantage and should have played more like Draymond Green.
