DescriptionDragon Ball GT (ドラゴンボール GT Doragon Bōru Jī Tī) è una serie televisiva anime tratta dal manga Dragon Ball di Akira Toriyama. Visto il grande successo del fumetto e delle serie animate Dragon Ball e Dragon Ball Z da esso tratte, la Toei Animation decise di creare un nuovo anime con una storia originale, sviluppando un seguito agli eventi del mangaAkira Toriyama (鳥山 明 Toriyama Akira - nato a Nagoya, 5 aprile 1955) Dal 1996 al 1997 è impegnato anche con la supervisione di Dragon Ball GT, un sequel anime del manga, realizzato dalla Toei Animation. Akira Toriyama è un fumettista giapponese. È divenuto celebre soprattutto per aver realizzato il manga di arti marziali Dragon Ball e il manga Dr. Slump, con il quale ha ottenuto nel 1981 lo Shogakukan Manga Award per il miglior manga shōnen, oltre a tanti altri manga minori. È stato inoltre il character designer di molti celebri videogiochi, tra cui la saga Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Blue Dragon e Dragon Ball Legends. Toriyama è considerato uno degli artisti che hanno cambiato la storia dei manga, in quanto i suoi lavori hanno influenzato notevolmente le generazioni successive di mangaka che hanno infatti citato Dragon Ball come fonte di ispirazione per le loro opere.[2] Ha inoltre ottenuto il Grand Prix alla carriera.
